Summary: Cryptographically signed patches desired

Original Submission: Right now there is no way for a third party to verify
that Joe Hacker <address@hidden> really was the author of that patch bearing
his name, because anyone can say tla my-id "Joe Hacker <address@hidden>".

However, if tla used GNU Privacy Guard and signed the files in the patch, then
users would have a means of verifying the authenticity of the patches.
