Summary: make test fails if compiler adds suffix to executable names (i.e. on
cygwin)

Original Submission: Patches 8 and 9 from my package-framework--devo--1.0
archive has some code to deal with situations where the C compiler adds a
suffix to binaries' names. These patches fix the problem with make clean on
Cygwin.
