problems with loading files

Hello,

i work on the following platform: 
* hp j5000 and j3000 workstations, unix 10.2.
* Version: GNu emacs 19.34.1 (hppa1, 1-hp-hpux-10.20, X toolkit)
* Shell is a technical c-shell (tc-shell).

After the attempt to load a file directly with the command an a filename:

> emacs (filename)

there comes the message: "Symbol's value as author is void: $Autor" an NO
FILE 
IS LOADED. This is with all files an above mentioned unix machines (unix10.2
and 11.0)

Our system operator does not know anything to do ! 
Would you be so kind an give me a hint ?
