People upgrading would find it in the 20.3 NEWS or, equivalently, via
M-x customize-changed-options; they're recommended reading with a new
version.
Otherwise, the option appears in the `compilation' Custom group -- a
reason to prefer suggesting `customize the option ...' to `setq ...'.

Don't suffer in silence! As far as I remember, that option wasn't
added in response to a feature request.
