Reasons to change
I would like to propose that the default binding C-x C-r
might be better moved to revert-buffer and not the current
find-file-read-only.
I do not have any data from user polls to back up the change,
only my own observations, fellow workers and students.
It is more common to rely on underlying OS permissions
or use C-x C-q for read only than explicitly use
find-file-read-only.
Whereas rever-tbuffer is used multiple times, possibly
dayly basis especially for code development and
fllowing log files. (let's forget auto-revert-mode
for a while).
Why?
A revert-buffer is likely to be used more than
find-file-read-only and it deserver good binding.
