Frame name property problem

In GNU Emacs 20.7.1 (i386-suse-linux, X toolkit)
 of Sun Aug  6 2000 on Maclaurin.suse.de
configured using `configure  --with-gcc --with-pop --with-system-malloc 
--prefix=/usr --exec-prefix=/usr --infodir=/usr/share/info 
--mandir=/usr/share/man --sharedstatedir=/var/state --libexecdir=/usr/lib 
--with-x --with-x-toolkit=lucid --x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include 
--x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib i386-suse-linux'

Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug
and the precise symptoms of the bug:


Normally, I use a default frame name on the title bar of my emacs
windows (the 'name' property of the frame parameters is nil). This
means that the title bar changes whenever I switch buffers.

If I save the frame configuration (using the
frame-configuration-to-register command) and later restore the frame
configuration (using the jump-to-register command), the 'name'
property of the frame parameters gets set to whatever the title was
when the frame configuration was saved. This means that hereafter the
title bar does *not* change when I switch buffers.

The bug also exists in emacs 21.0.103.
