Young Dan has emacs humming along under his usual uid=501, he pops
open another window, su's to root, and has the urge to do
# emacsclient file

OK, I'd say that that [method, etc.] should be documented in the
documentation, instead of just hiding out in the code... as it would
seem a reasonable common activity.
I don't see any hint about what to do from reading emacsclient.c or
server.el, but those are 20.7 version. However I don't know how to
check those two files in emacs 21 if I don't want to download the whole
emacs 21 on my tiny modem.
