Just forwarding a bug report about the numpad. Looks like emacs
doesn't distinguish between S-<end> and <end>,
(read-event) seems to report S-<end> as S-end.
So it is not the case that "Emacs does not distinguish."
There may be a problem but at this point I don't know what it is.
Could you please be more precise?
My END key is not on the numeric keypad, though.
