I was just thinking, let's say you are in dired and you make lots of D
deletion selections or markings, etc. And then the boss tells you to
edit some file and then it's time to go home and you c-x c-c...
Well, if emacs is to keep its warm cozy "never lost a bit of work"
record, then maybe it should ask you "Directory buffer xyz all marked
up but not acted upon, sure you want to quit?"
