Built Emacs.app from source (via MacPorts) and it can no longer
correctly display Thai characters.
1. Switch to anything other than fundamental-mode.
2. Type (or copy) Thai text with vowels, e.g. ไก่จิกเด็กตายบนปากโอ่ง
3. Characters with vowels all mysteriously disappeared.
This used to work on Emacs.app rc3 build posted on http://emacs-app.sf.net/.
Don't know if this is a related issue, but Japanese font substitution
is also wrong (font look funny, unlike in the rc3 build.)
In GNU Emacs 23.0.60.1 (powerpc-apple-darwin9.6.0, NS apple-appkit-949.43)
of 2009-02-11 on Dice.localhost
Windowing system distributor `Apple', version 10.3.949
configured using `configure '--prefix=/opt/local' '--with-ns'
'CC=/usr/bin/gcc-4.0' 'CFLAGS=-O2' 'LDFLAGS=-L/opt/local/lib'
'CPPFLAGS=-I/opt/local/include' 'CPP=/usr/bin/cpp-4.0''
