Hi,

I often get an error similar to that given in the subject line when trying to do something in aquamacs, usually something involving making a new window or frame.

It is very annoying since usually even turning on debug-on-error doesn't help. The creation of the debug window triggers the same error :(

However, I did manage to get a backtrace on one occasion, which I have attached to this message.

Many thanks for the report.
The bug has been fixed in the latest beta version. From the change log:

- BUGFIX: No frames could be opened when using a two-screen setup
with the menu bar on the right screen, and a currently selected
frame on the left screen. Pretty obscure, eh?
    (Reported by George W. Gilchrist.)
