It seems to work for me with

GNU Emacs 23.1,2 (GTK+ Version 2.10.4)

and the Lucid toolkit version of emacs-23 and trunk.

Isn't this an NS-specific problem?


Yes of course.  The switch to Cocoa apparently introduced this bug.
