bug#7576: 24.0.50; Please index node `Init Syntax' under entry "character syntax"

I don't see an entry in the Index of the Emacs manual for (Lisp)
character syntax.  There should be one.  A user just asked about `?i' in
the context of `set-register' in help-gnu-emacs.
