Bug squashed, I think. Please try revision 105407. If it solves the
problem, there's no need to continue bisecting.

If my fix is correct, the offending commit was actually 105208.

If the problem does not go away with the current trunk, please do, and
thanks. Please also reopen this bug if you find excessive memory
consumption with today's trunk.
