        Now, it makes me wonder if there should be an @findex tar-mode
        along with the @cindices?  (And @findex archive-mode, too.)

        Otherwise, does the patch MIMEd look sane?

   @kbd{d} marks a file for deletion when you later use @kbd{x}, and
