If the majority are okay with the defaults, that doesn't mean people are okay with *any* defaults. That might only mean that VS picked good defaults.
And it's not like VS supports all (or even most) of the languages on this list. Or is the predominant IDE of choice in all those communities. You're probably only thinking about the C and C++ results.
