bug#30291: Acknowledgement (25.2; "ubuntu mono font" and "query-replace" (twice) hangs emacs)

Is `query-replace' necessary to trigger the bug, or does evaling

(message "%s" query-replace-from-to-separator)

a couple of times also hang Emacs?
