First, even if it worked, it would be a workaround. New users hitting the "is read-only" problem would continue to do so.
Second, <right> is just a likely to hit me with the "End of buffer" error message instead. Also useless, by the way.
I'd rather the minibuffer didn't show either error, especially because it gets concealed by the echo area.
