And I tried just now (after installing fonts-symbola and
fonts-noto-core, and this displays correctly for me from -Q:
🚲 U+1F6B2 BICYCLE
🚴 U+1F6B4 BICYCLIST
ð“€€ U+13000 EGYPTIAN HIEROGLYPH A001
So I think this is fixed, and I'm closing this bug report.
