bug#14393: 24.3; The highlight of the mark persists after C-c in cua-mode

(I'm going through old bug reports that unfortunately got no response at
the time.)

I took a stab at reproducing this, but it's not trivial.  Are you still
seeing this issue in recent Emacs versions?
