I don't think that's the case. Of course it takes
time to read and understand a bug thread.

Eli was the one who said (and I agreed):

from Lisp uses the prefix arg in any similar way?
It seems bad practice to me: non-interactive calls
shouldn't use interactive features.
That's about the code behavior, not about the doc
string. But especially given that unusual (per Eli)
behavior, I think the doc string should make clear
what the behavior is (for Lisp use). It's not the
usual behavior for Lisp use.
