Yes. The PlaySound function from the Win32 API works fine, but I just can't
fork the process. I think this has to be done by CreateChild or CreateProcess
in windows. ....I hope I will be able to look at this tomorrow actually.
My new boss asked me today about compilers for porting software from Unix to
Windows. He had a print out of the DJGPP release notes... and I told him about
the mingw compiler. The problem about the program he was about to port, a
simple deamon, was exactly forking. So I voluentered to do the porting for
him. If I can get that fork to work, it will be trivial to do the same thing
in gnubg, I guess. I'll report more about any progress tomorrow.
