Hi Ric,
The answer is there, but I probably wasnt explicit enough on
the necessity of the procedure. Before even setting up the position, you
must first start a new match with the match length desired. It cant be
edited. The developers are very aware if the need to create a strong
versatile Edit/setup mode, but as it isnt easy, it has remained on the
backlog. Once you start a match of say 11 points, you can edit the score
all you like with the edit mode.

Subject: GNU edit position question
Hi Albert,
I like the new manual, but couldn't find an answer to this question: How
to set the score when setting up a position from a match? The score at
the bottom shows unlimited match, which could easily give inaccurate
results when analyzing a match position from say, a five or eleven point
match. I haven't found a way to do it on my own (thought I'm sure there
must be something I've overlooked!) ;-)
