Hi,

I've used the windows version of gnu for almost a year
now... and a dos version before that. I've always
been able to get it working on my old computers.

Anyway, the newest version from
http://home.online.no/~oeysteij/ doesn't seem to work
at all here. I've got windows98 running on an old
monitor that has a 640x480x32 description... I'm not
entirely sure what that means, but it's a small screen
size and doesn't work when I try to move it up to a
larger one... Still, the old versions of gnu worked
with this. I believe I downloaded in November
sometime from the same site and it worked then.

I'm able to install it, but when I run the program, it
says "This program has performed an illegal action and
will be shut down... if this problem persists, contact
the program vendor."
And the details were:
GNUBG caused a stack fault in module OLE32.DLL at
0167:00a5a4c4.

And a second time:

GNUBG caused a stack fault in module OLE32.DLL at
0167:00a5a4c4.
Registers:

I have no idea what these mean, but I include them in
case you need them.

I realize this may be a very specific problem, and
certainly understand if you don't try to solve it.
And I believe that you are surely already aware of the
issue. I'm sending this email just to let you know in
case you needed this info...

Until or unless it's solved, perhaps you could put a
link to an older windows gnu version that could be
downloaded.

Thanks so much for gnu... it is a great program.
