There is a problem with freetype (a library used by GNUbg) on Win95. You should get yourself the newest install archive from http://home.online.no/~oeysteij/ first, or if yours is sufficiently new, leave your install. Then go to http://users.skynet.be/motiv4u/GNUBgW.htm and download "0.13 devel Build 030330 (without Freetype Changelog 1.1027)" (http://users.skynet.be/motiv4u/gnubg-030330Zip.exe) and unpack it into the folder where you installed GNUbg overwriting the old executable. On this page there are hints on how to do this, too. In case this executable requires a different version of any library, you find the files on http://users.skynet.be/motiv4u/dlls_recent_builds.htm .
