Who decides what features get added next with GNU?
Can we have some kind of TODO list that the users can vote on please?

I think it's all a bit more anarchic than that. GnuBg is an open source
project and written by folks in their own time. GnuBg will only continue
to develop whilst the programmers find it fun to continue. They work on
areas that take their fancy if and when it suits them.

This discussion list is originally a bug reporting and discussion list,
for the benefit of the developers. The likes of you and I, in addition
to bugs, post feature requests and general questions. If they stimulate
the developers to put in something, then great. If they don't, then
tough, be patient, or write it yourself. There's plenty of things I've
suggested over my time on this list. Some get implemented, some get
rejected, some go on the TO DO list and some get ignored completely. If
I wrote C, I'd have a bash at some things myself, but I don't so I
can't. As it is I'm grateful for all the developers' efforts, and glad
to contribute in any small way I've been able to.

In fact, I love the way it is now. It's a collaborative venture and a
labour of love. I think telling people what they should and should not
work on is only going to detract from the ethos of the whole project.

Let's face it, the system has worked pretty well up to now. People
working in their spare time have produced a bot that rivals the
strongest commercial bot available. And I bet they are less stressed
about it.

I don't mean to get heavy on you Mike, so please don't take umbrage. I'm
just explaining why I like things the way they are.
