I tried:
    HOT     = '00C000'
    MID     = 'FFFFFF'
    ICE     = 'F00000'
I used 'green=ok' and  'red=danger'.
It is not a temperature map that way, but somehow (for me that is) blue and
red are confusing.
I have a natural reflex: RED? Stop! Danger! GREEN? Go! OK!

(and I did small changes to some background colors)

I do like two colors. Whatever colors you would prefer. And I am willing to
upload blue/red or whatever combination you feel would suit your original
idea.
