I sent an e-mail titled "Luck analysis, round-off error" to the mailing list at approximately 12:37 GMT Aug 19 (about 71 hours ago). I haven't seen this e-mail on the mailing list yet, so if it doesn't show up in about 24 hours, I'll resend it.
My two other original e-mails to the list were also greatly delayed. My "Dice seed" e-mail didn't arrive on my mail server for 20 hours. The fact that I got so many responses (Ian, Jørn, Jim, Øystein, Olivier) makes me think that (1) readers on this are very helpful to each other (thanks!) and (2) other people experienced mail delays (so that replies were delayed, etc.)
I didn't receive my own "Bug: Double/beaver" e-mail until about 45 hours after I sent it. In fact I received *all* of Jørn's responses long before I received my original e-mail in the mailing list! It also looks like Nis might have responded to the mailing list (or at least to Jørn), but I *still* haven't received Nis' response in the mailing list (nor is it at http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnubg/2003-08/index.html).
Anyway, since it looks like there might be some temporary problems with the mailing list, I'll wait at least 24 hours before reposting my "Luck analysis, round-off error" e-mail.
Chris
