Maybe this is also connected to the bug report from Dennis.
To me it looks like GNU Backgammon tries to evaluate a race position
with the bearoff database.
Ah! Got it!
It's crashing on the new code in bearoff.c. But why is this code called
at all when evaluating a race position?
