I don't think GNU BG is built to be multi-threaded, no. I see no
performance gains for analysis or evaluation when running on dual Xeon
systems versus regular Pentiums of the same approximate clock speed.
However, I haven't tested regular play, which may utilize some form of
multi-threading.
True multi-threading is one of the things I would vote for in future
versions.
