[Bug-gnubg] Native GTK on Mac OS?

I'll start by saying that I've got no idea about Macs...

Several (non-technical) people have told me they had difficulty getting gnubg to
run on Macs. One of the hurdles seems to be installing X11 (clashes with fink
for example). Anyway to the subject, has anyone tried using gtk natively with
gnubg? Here's the website:
