Subject: | [Bug-gnubg] Problems running GnuBG under Vista 32 bit |

I have downloaded and installed the
Windows version of Gnu Backgammon (0.90-mingw 20090615) and wish to report the
following problems: - When I start the game I hear the
initial sound, but then during gameplay there is no sound at all, except for
the bip when I click outside the dice area. - When I start a new game, very often
(more often than not) the dices freeze "in the air" and there is nothing I can do. I have to
click "new" and start a new game over and over again until I have the
luck to have a normal game start - then the game plays OK. I tried to uninstall this version and
install an earlier version and the problem is the same. All other software runs
absolutely fine, including the latest version of BGBlitz (I much prefer Gnu by
the way). I am running the software in a TOSHIBA
QOSMIO F-50 (portable) under Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1 (32 bit).
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T9550 2.66 GHz with 4 Gb RAM. The graphic card is a NVidia
GeForce 9600 M GT (512Mb dedicated). The sound is onboard (Realtek audio...).
Direct X version is 10.0. Thanking you in advance for your help Diogo Pais |
