This is not completely accurate.  There are a few files which are
mastered from glibc and updated automatically (more or less) in gnulib
by a script I wrote.  Those files are strtoll.c, getopt.h, getopt1.c,
regex.h, strdup.c, and mktime.c.  (getopt.c and obstack.c used to be and
will be again, but Bruno made a few changes which we wanted to test more
before inflicting them on libc.)  

It would be wonderful if there were more files mastered from libc, from
the point of view of avoiding duplication, but every other one of the
dozens of common files have nontrivial differences.  It is an ongoing
project to make more of them sharable.
