How would you all out there want to use such a testsuite?
a) from the gnulib repository directly, a testsuite which runs tests
for all modules of gnulib (even those that don't interest you)?
or
b) have "gnulib-tool --create-testdir ..." also create a directory tests/
with the appropriate tests and a Makefile.am, so that you could
run the tests of those modules that are of interest to you (and
possibly even make them part of "make check" of your package)?
My preference would be for b). Users who want a) get the equivalent
functionality by using "gnulib-tool --create-megatestdir" and running the
tests in the resulting mega package.
