The gnulib version is fine; a merge from gnulib to gettext was pending.
(I had not done it because at the time of the patch, gettext-0.13 was
already in code-freeze.) It's done now.

> $ diff ../../gettext/gettext-runtime/libasprintf/vasprintf.h .

You should compare with
         ../../gettext/gettext-tools/lib/vasprintf.h
(The other file in gettext-runtime/libasprintf/ has some extra contortions
due to the way libasprintf is built.)

> $ diff ../../gettext/gettext-tools/lib/setenv.c .
> $ diff ../../gettext/gettext-tools/lib/unsetenv.c .

I had forgotten about these. I've updated the gettext copy now.
