This is the license from ltdl.c:
Gary, if you want to pursue this, I suggest you make versions of the
memset.c and other such files using ltdl license, and we will consider
those copies as the ultimate source, and copy them into gnulib (and
change the license to the GPL), for use by anyone else who might care.
That way, ltdl can continue to be distrbuted with the exception, and
there will be only one source of the files.
That sounds like a good compromise to me.
I'd like to contribute my reimplementation of various argz functions in
the same way. If it turns out to be workable, I'll write new versions
the other functions from the argz api that libltdl doesn't currently
so that there is an libtool licensed master of the whole thing...
Better yet, maybe we could have a note in the gnulib copies that
(eg for missing argz calls) should be contributed back to libtool to
mixing GPL code on merge?
Sorry for the delay. Here is a patch to contribute the libtool argz
compatibility functions as a module of gnulib.
Okay to apply?
