Thanks, I'm adding it to gnulib, with one modification: The message you
get from the linker is about 0 input files, not about 0 symbols which
consume storage. Therefore dummy.c doesn't need to consume storage - a
typedef is enough.

It had been on my TODO list for a long time, but now I'm busy in other
areas. Feel free to enhance it!
