No.  As you know, there's an endless range of possibilities.  I suppose
for Texinfo documents, the "TexinfoML" output by makeinfo --xml would be
a likely candidate.  I know of a few projects that use it.

Perhaps we should (also) have docbookdir, etc.  I'm not opposed to that.

    What program do you assume people use for "viewing" XML documentation?

I don't assume anything.  I just felt like there should be the
possibility of having the documentation in some XML form available, as
you saw in Alexandre's msg.

I don't feel especially strongly about xmldir.
