Hi,

Now that GCJ produces production quality code and supports major portions
of Java 2, it's getting more important to have a bridge to that powerful
environment. (I mean, for example, the simple purpose of downloading
a file from a given URL with a timeout - this is a functionality needed by
gettext - can be done by either a 65-line Java program or by a 200 KB
special-purpose C program called 'wget'.)

The support comes in four modules:

  - sh-quote - Shell quoting. - based on the quotearg module
  - classpath - Java CLASSPATH handling.
  - javaexec - Execute a Java program.
  - javacomp - Compile a Java program.

Here is the first one, for proofreading.
