I assume I've been CC:ed in case I could help but I simply do
not know what is the problem with Gettext.  I remember that
Gettext contains two sub-packages.  I surmise each of them uses
its own definition of @LIBOBJS@, but I would not expect any
problem from that.  What's wrong?  What are the Gettext

Is gettext-0.14-pre2 supposed to be newer than gettext-0.14.1?
Where can it be found?  I thought that getting this could help
me understand, but I cannot see any gnu/gettext/ directory on
alpha.gnu.org and Google haven't heard of it yet.
