Done, per separate thread.

I chose the _SYS_CDEFS_H route since it seemed simplest to me, though I
chose to name the macro `MISSING_SYS_CDEFS_H'. This fits as a good
counterpoint to the HAVE_HEADER macros and says more on the first reading.

Done. I also moved the __glob_pattern_p redefinition into glob.c, where
it belonged.

You told me it was safe to make this assumption originally. Regardless,
I've restored the offending lines. :) All usages of __GNUC__ in
glob_.h are protected by !defined GLOB_PREFIX, in one way or another.

New patches attached as before. glob.8-9.diff contains a few
undiscussed changes that were necessary to compile on Solaris with GCC,
since Solaris wanted to redefine stat and stat64 in this instance and we
were trying to do the same.
