Is there any way to determine if a given regexp would be interpreted
differently between dialects with the aid of the gnulib regular
expression module? Findutila has historically used the Emacs syntax
and it seems to me to be more seneible to use POSIX BRE syntax.
One way of making that transition would be to emit a warning for a
couple of years indicating that the regexp specified varies in
interpretation (there is a separate option which would be used to
unambiguously select which RE diaect should be used).
Thanks,
James.
