Unless I'm missing something, that might be a bit hard to read in the
configure output. How about if you change it to something like
AC_CACHE_CHECK([for GNU glob version 1],
[gl_cv_gnu_glob_version_1],...) and then set it to a simple "yes" or
"no" value?
Other than that, it looks fine; please install.
