Hello,
I received another bug report for idutils, where
compilation of gnulib module fnmatch under Mac OS X
10.3.9 fails, seemingly for a problem related to
multibyte character constants:
Machinetype: Apple Power Mac G4 (2 1420 MHz
PowerPC G4 (3.3)
CPUs, 2GB RAM); Darwin 7.9.0 (Mac OS X Server 10.3.9
(7W98))
Configure environment: CC=gcc3 CXX=g++3
LIBS=-lcc_dynamic
gcc3 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I..
-I/usr/local/include
-I/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreFoundation.framework/Headers
-g -O2 -c fnmatch.c
fnmatch_loop.c:42: illegal statement, missing `)'
after `L'
fnmatch_loop.c:49: illegal statement, missing `:'
after `L'
fnmatch_loop.c:62: illegal statement, missing `)'
after `L'
fnmatch_loop.c:64: illegal expression, found `else'
fnmatch_loop.c:68: illegal statement, missing `:'
after `L'
fnmatch_loop.c:72: illegal statement, missing `)'
after `L'
fnmatch_loop.c:77: illegal external declaration, found
`if'
... many more...
