Hi Karl,

I got around to trying this gendocs script. Does not work for me:

$ ls -hsl manual
total 2.5M
200K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 198K May 3 09:03 autogen.dvi.gz
   0 -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 0 May 3 09:03 autogen.html.gz
204K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 203K May 3 09:03 autogen.html_node.tar.gz
128K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 128K May 3 09:03 autogen.info.tar.gz
965K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 961K May 3 09:03 autogen.pdf
356K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 356K May 3 09:03 autogen.ps.gz
120K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 120K May 3 09:03 autogen.texi.tar.gz
436K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 435K May 3 09:03 autogen.txt
120K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 119K May 3 09:03 autogen.txt.gz
 14K drwxr-xr-x 2 bkorb dev 14K May 3 09:03 html_node
4.0K -rw-r--r-- 1 bkorb dev 2.9K May 3 09:03 index.html

The issues: "index.html" is supposed to be named "autogen.html"
with "index.html" a symlink to that. Secondly, "autogen.html.gz"
is empty. Also, you might consider getting the sizes with
``ls -hsl'' since I am certain you will see some megabyte sizes
for some docs. :) You're hard wired to GNU's ls anyway.

BTW, isn't there some stuff missing? (viz., variations on the
partitioning of the html (one monster and one per chapter in
addition to the one per node)?

Cheers - Bruce
