Oh, I see I got this backwards.  With malloc-posix as the simpler module,
then I agree that we should rename 'malloc' to 'malloc-gnu', which implies
the additional constraint of malloc(0) returning an allocation.  With your
further explanation, I am fine with the changes, but would still like to
hear from Jim since it is originally his module.
