How does one use "m4 as the linker"? Where is this documented?

I also have some shell functions to contribute:
  - func_tmpdir
  - func_find_curr_installdir, func_find_prefixes (relocatable.sh.in)
  - func_fatal_error
  - func_exit
  - func_append
  - func_readlink
  - func_relativize
  - func_relconcat
  - func_ln
  - echo which does not interpret backslashes and options
Should these all go into m4sh? Or do we need some more open repository of
shell functions?

Bruno
