If you were to read the contribution guidelines in HACKING,
you would see that a cloned coreutils directory contains
the files you changed, and a cloned gnulib directory does not.

It'd be nice if you would maintain that for a while.
I haven't reviewed it, and as such, can't in good conscience
accept it.  I really don't want to spend time supporting
such old compilers.  I hope you'll understand.
Besides, if you really wanted to, you could build a new
enough version of gcc on the system in question.

However, as I said before, if enough people clamor for
support in coreutils for old compilers, I'll reconsider.
