Looks like you regenerated stdlib.h with a Makefile that does not capture
the value of GNULIB_MKOSTEMP determined by configure. Recall: after updating
to a newer gnulib version, you need to
  1. Run "make distclean" if you did not do it before,
  2. Regenerate the infrastructure (run autoconf, automake, etc.),
  3. Re-configure the package.
