I see - currently this service is in the middle of the old->new hardware 
transition.
I implemented a quick work-around (using iptables MASQUERADE).

Anyhow, the correct checkout command should be:
 cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/gnulib.git checkout master
shouldn't it?
